Using Wood Vinegar in Viticulture
PyroAg Wood Vinegar can be incorporated at different stages of a vineyard and grape-growing program through foliar application and application to the soil or root zone.
Current PyroAg guidance includes diluted foliar applications and soil or fertigation applications. The most appropriate method will depend on vine growth stage, water volume, growing conditions and intended use.
Soil Application
Applied to the soil or root zone to support soil biological activity and nutrient availability around developing vines.
Fertigation & Irrigation
Incorporated into suitable irrigation or fertigation programs to deliver diluted Wood Vinegar through the root zone.
Foliar Application
Applied through established vineyard spray programs during vine development, providing an opportunity to support vine growth, nutrient use and overall crop performance.
For general applications, PyroAg recommends lower rates applied more regularly rather than infrequent high-rate applications, with a maximum application frequency of approximately every two weeks.
Application requirements may vary according to vine growth stage, water volume, vineyard conditions and intended use. Always follow current PyroAg application guidance and test new applications on a small area where appropriate.
