Wood Vinegar for Tree Crops & Orchards
PyroAg Wood Vinegar can be incorporated into orchard and tree crop programs through soil, irrigation and foliar applications.
Application rates and timing can be adapted to the crop, growth stage and production system, allowing Wood Vinegar to complement existing soil, nutrition and crop management programs.
Using Wood Vinegar in Tree Crops & Orchards
PyroAg Wood Vinegar can be incorporated at different stages of a tree crop or orchard program through foliar application and application to the soil or root zone.
Current PyroAg guidance includes diluted foliar applications and soil or fertigation applications. The most appropriate method will depend on the crop, growth stage, water volume, growing conditions and intended use.

Soil Application
Applied to the soil or root zone to support soil biological activity and nutrient availability around developing vines.

Fertigation & Irrigation
Incorporated into suitable irrigation or fertigation programs to deliver diluted Wood Vinegar through the root zone.

Foliar Application
Applied through established spray programs during crop development, providing an opportunity to support plant growth, nutrient use and overall crop performance.
For general applications, PyroAg recommends lower rates applied more regularly rather than infrequent high-rate applications, with a maximum application frequency of approximately every two weeks.
Application requirements may vary according to crop, water volume, growing conditions and intended use. Always follow current PyroAg application guidance and test new applications on a small area where appropriate.
Application Method | Recommended Rate | Application Guidance |
|---|---|---|
Soil / Drip Application | 5 L/ha | 1:200 dilution |
General Foliar Application | 2 L/ha | 1:500 dilution, based on 1,000 L/ha water |
