Wood Vinegar for Pasture & Livestock

PyroAg Wood Vinegar can be incorporated into pasture management programs to support pasture health, soil function and productivity across grazing and livestock production systems.

Applied through established spray programs, Wood Vinegar provides a practical option for supporting soil biological activity, nutrient availability and pasture growth alongside existing nutrition and management practices.

Alongside Wood Vinegar, PyroAg also supplies biochar for agricultural applications, with both products represented in a growing body of research across soil, pasture and livestock production systems.

Using Wood Vinegar in Pasture Systems

PyroAg Wood Vinegar can be incorporated into established pasture programs using several application methods, from pasture establishment through to ongoing spray applications.

The most appropriate method and timing will depend on pasture type, stage of establishment, seasonal conditions, water volume and the intended use within the overall farming program.

Seed Treatment

Seed Treatment

Applied prior to sowing, introducing Wood Vinegar at the earliest stage of crop establishment where it may support germination, early plant development and nutrient availability.

In-Furrow

In-Furrow Application

Applied at planting to place Wood Vinegar within the developing root zone, where it may support soil biological activity and nutrient availability during early crop establishment.

Foliar

Foliar Application

Applied through established spray programs during crop development, providing an opportunity to support plant growth, nutrient use and overall crop performance.

For general applications, PyroAg recommends lower rates applied more regularly rather than infrequent high-rate applications, with a maximum application frequency of approximately every two weeks.

Application requirements may vary according to pasture type, water volume, seasonal conditions and intended use. Always follow current PyroAg application guidance and test new applications on a small area where appropriate.

Application Method
Recommended Rate
Application Guidance
In-Furrow Application
500 mL/ha
